FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)
Be sure to see our links page for general oral health questions and answers
- Do you take insurance?
Yes, we accept most dental insurances and are glad to file them for you. In most cases, the insurance will not cover all of your expenses, so you will have what is called a co-payment. Our experienced staff is very accurate at determining exactly what your portion of the fee will be, so you should never have a surprise as to your part of the fee payment.
- What insurance plans do you accept?
We accept most of the more common plans, including Blue Cross/Blue Shield PMD, United Concordia, and military insurance. If you are not sure if we are on your list, just call and ask.
- When should children start coming to the dentist?
As soon as teeth appear in your child's mouth, you should start cleaning them. We like to see them around three years of age for their first check up, as they usually have all of their baby teeth then and are able to cooperate with our staff for their treatment.
- Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. As the fees for dental services have increased, many of our patients have appreciated our ability to be innovative in their dental financing. Some of our most popular plans are:
- Senior citizens over age 55 receive a 10% discount for treatment rendered and paid for on Mondays.
- Wells Fargo Financial Services has an outstanding 0% interest rate for up to 12 months for our patients that qualify.
- Flexible options for larger restorative cases.
We want to help you keep your financial integrity intact with us, so let us know how we can help you.
- How can I find out what your fee is for a particular service?
Many times we can quote you a fee over the telephone, but we have found it is best for you to come to our office so we can give you an exact figure. We are always delighted to give you a no charge estimate for a particular problem.
- What are your office hours?
We normally see patients Monday - Thursday from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. We are always available for telephone emergencies for our patients of record 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- How do I get to your office?
We are conveniently located in the heart of Montgomery just off the I-85/Eastern Blvd intersection. See our map and specific driving directions here.
- Do you have Nitrous Oxide?
Yes, we do. Nitrous Oxide is the scientific term for laughing gas, and it is available for our apprehensive patients at a modest fee.
- What is the difference between a DDS and a DMD?
The DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) and DMD (Doctor of Dental Medicine) are the same degrees. The difference is a matter of semantics. The majority of dental schools award the DDS degree. However, some award a DMD degree. The education and degrees are the same.
- Do you accept military families and their insurance plans?
Yes! Over the years, we have treated hundreds of military families and welcome them as a large part of our practice. We are very familiar with their insurance plans and are glad to see them.
